Holiday – Don’t forget that Monday, September 7th is a holiday from school.

 

Students of the Month – The following students were nominated and chosen as students of the month for August: Quentin Williams (9th), Hannah Hesse (2nd) and Kirsten Messer (4th). These students will be going with Mrs. Lambert on the 8th for pizza at CiCi’s in Foley. Congrats!

 

T-shirts – You should have received your theme shirts for this year. Hope you like them as much as we do! We still have 1 of each of the following sizes left – Youth -XS, M, L, and Adult S and M. These shirts are $10 each.

 

Book Fair – Our book fair was a great success! We want to thank all of the special visitors that we had throughout the week. We will give you totals next week.

 

Music Lessons – We have started music lessons. If you are still interested, you can still sign up! These lessons are given at the school, so you don’t have to drive anywhere! 

 

Waffle House – The Summerdale Waffle House on 59 is sponsoring a waffle eating contest and bake sale to raise money for local schools (which includes us!) The Fire and Police Departments and some of our high school students will be participating in the contest. They will also have face painting and finger printing services. PLEASE go to this business and support it from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, September 12th. A portion of the money raised will be donated to our school.

 

Fall Pictures – Our photographer will be sending home envelopes next week for fall pictures to be taken on September 15th.

 

Fish Fry – Tickets go on sale TODAY for our “Drive By Fish Fry” on Friday, October 9th from 4-6 p.m. These are $6 pre-sale tickets that include fried fish, baked beans, potato salad, bread, and a dessert. SEE ATTACHED FOR MORE INFO!

 

Blood Drive – We are having a Blood Drive at the school from 11am – 4 pm if you would like to donate blood. You must be at least 110 lbs. and 17 years of age to donate. Our Middle and High School students are hosting this as part of their “Servitude Pillar” for service hours and need donors.
