Hurricane Update
Volume II, Issue 1
August 14, 2009
Pick-Up– Thank you for being patient with us as we work on afternoon drop-off. Having doubled our student body, we are working to resolve the traffic issues. Please remember that Pre-K dismissal is now 2:50, K-6th is 3:00, and 7th-12th is 3:15. Please do not park and pick-up your child from the office or classrooms unless you have scheduled an appointment or have business in the office. This causes confusion and excessive traffic around the front desk.
Drop-Off – Please drop off your child through the traffic circle. Students need to take belongings to the chapel area. There is NO supervision for your child in the parking lot or in portable areas.
After-School Care – If you do not pick-up your PreK-6th grade child by 3:30, your child will be placed in after-school care for a charge of $8. Students must be picked up no later than 5:45.
Homework Club – This program is available to older students who need help with homework. There is a certified teacher available to help your child from 3:30-4:30 each day. The cost is $5.00.
T-Shirt Sale – Our themed T-shirts will be available for “pre-order” next week. Students (or parents!) may wear these shirts instead of uniform shirts on Fridays. We will also be selling AGCCA decals. Hoodies, sweatshirts and jackets can be ordered in September.
Website – Check out our website for this Hurricane Update and other important information about our school. There are also lunch menus, helpful links, and calendars.
E-mail – This publication will be sent via e-mail starting on Friday, August 21st. PLEASE make sure that we have your current e-mail address. You can e-mail us at AGCCA@gccacademy.com or christianacademy@gccacademy.com to give us your address, or contact us by phone @ 989-2333.
