AWARDS CEREMONY -- Awards will be given out for PreK-3 through grade 4 on Tuesday morning, May 22, at 8:15. Parents are welcomed to attend. (Note: Accelerated Reader awards will be given out to all elementary students during this awards assembly, but other kindergarten awards will be given out at their graduation on May 24.)
SENIOR GRADUATION – Graduation for Maggie Sinak will be Friday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Summerdale Church of Christ.
KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION – will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, at the school.
YEARBOOKS – Yearbooks for this year will be on sale for $40 each through May 25. Please give order form to Mrs. Whittle and make checks payable to AGCCA.
FIELD DAY – Wednesday, May 23 – Details are as follows:
Parents are encouraged to come and help out with relay races and other events
We will be selling popsicles for 25 cents each
We will still order LA BBQ as we usually do on Wednesdays
PreK through 4th grade
Field day activities between 8:30–11
Please bring sunscreen
Bring $1 to be out-of-uniform
Shorts must be modest length
Shirts should be dark in color (you might get wet)
Please bring an extra change of clothes
Middle and high school
Field Day activities between 12:30–3 (regular classes from 8-12)
Bring $1 to be out-of-uniform
Put on sunscreen if you need it
Shorts must be within 3 inches of the knee
Shirts should be dark in color
Please bring an extra change of clothes
PARENTS NIGHT – There will be a meeting for all parents of returning students on Tuesday, May 22, at 6 p.m. about exciting news for next year.
SPECIAL FOR FRIDAY, MAY 18 – The school is paying for the first two pieces of pizza for each student. Please send $1 for each additional piece. PIZZA FRIDAY – This Friday the school is paying for two pieces of pizza for each child in celebration of having over 1100 items brought for the Costa Rica mission trip! Please bring your child’s pizza form as usual so that we’ll know how much to order. If they order more than two pieces, please send $1 for each extra piece.
SUMMER CAMP – AGCCA will hold summer camp this summer for children in pre-K through 5th grade. The hours will be 7:30-5:30 from June 4- July 27. Registration is $50.00 and the cost is $125 per week. For more information please call the school office or email Mr. Douglas at cdouglas@gccacademy.com.
TUMBLEBUS Is scheduled again for Thursday, May 17.
LA BBQ – Please remember LA BBQ lunch forms go home on Mondays. The order form MUST be turned in with the money on Tuesday to get the meal on Wednesday. If you need to pay by check, please make the check payable to AGCCA.
